Welcome to Pike Place Apartments
Welcome to Seattle, Washington. Home of the original Starbucks coffee, grunge music, The Space Needle, and even MTV's Real World. One of Seattle's top spots for life and entertainment is its Pike Place Market. Watch the famous “fish throwing” at Pike Place Market, and pick up some fresh produce or flowers. The original Starbucks coffee house is located in Pike Place Market, and sells souvenir mugs available only at that location. Take in an IMAX movie about Mt. St. Helen’s eruption on Pier 59 and stop by the Seattle Aquarium to see the giant octopus. Feed the seagulls at Ivar’s on Pier 54 (and enjoy some of their famous clam chowder). For a bizarre outing, visit “Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe”. Enjoy a concert at “Summer Nights at South Lake Union Park” which recently switched from “Summer Nights at the Pier” (structural maintenance work was required at Pier 62/63, the popular, former venue). The famous Edgewater Hotel on Pier 67 and the former MTV Real World location on Pier 70 are other interesting sites. Enjoy the Seattle Aquarium on Pier 59 or a ferry ride to one of the nearby islands.
The Pike Place Apartments are located just two blocks from Pike Place Market. Also nearby is the Waterfront, Ferry docks, Seattle Art Museum, movie theaters, and both Pacific Place and Westlake shopping centers. They come with fully equipped kitchens and washer and dryer units. All apartments are wired for cable TV and high speed internet. Parking is available in a private back lot. The complex itself features a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, exercise facilities, and an entertainment room for private parties. Just right outside the door of the apartments you have dozens of restaurants to choose from and endless entertainment options. This is where our game is, at the fictional Pike Place Apartments located in the very real Seattle, Washington.

| Rules |
[01 Mar 2008|02:57am] |
As with all games, we have some rules. Read them. Follow them. The mods reserve the right to change, alter, add onto these whenever necessary.
1. Chose a pb. We don't accept people made famous by myspace or someone who's "famous" because of their uncle's neighbor's kid. No originals either. All characters must be at least 18 years old, we will accept SOME 17 year-old pb's if they look age appropriate. Register a un, please no ridiculous amount of underscores and no x's unless it's truly part of their name. UN's MUST be the character's name. Example: "suzie" not "blondie". InsaneJournal is new and great with purging so we're confident you can get the name you want or pretty close to it. Aim names : again, make it pertain to your character. "Blondie suzie" is fine but not something like "pie fanatic".
2. Drama, drama, drama. It happens, we know it. Keep it tame and keep it IC. You get one warning and then we remove you for inappropriate ooc line crossing. Mods can be reached at all times via the pm inbox in the mod journal or our screened posting. Pregnancies happen. Make sure it's agreed on by both parties AND that it's carried out. You plan a pb pregnancy, so no early births are allowed. Period. That's it. You get one week's breathing room but nothing more.
3. Updates are due every three weeks. We expect paragraphs. One liners don't count. Pictures don't count. We want content that proves your kid has been living for the past three weeks outside of their apartment. Extensions are granted but don't abuse the privelage.
4. We know that there's a lot of pb characters floating around so our limit per writer is TWO. That's it. Also, keep in mind that our game is centered around ONE apartment building. Because of that, families are limited to four members. Period. This includes non-played kids so watch your lines.
5. Again, no drama. You create drama, we'll smack you around. Or, just remove you. Either way if you break the rule we won't be happy.
6. We don't require a mass amounts of samples, in fact none. All that we ask is that you write a first entry of great quality. It can be first person or third person, but no bullet lists please. Consider this your best example put out for us. Make sure you have the mod journal friended if you're going to lock it for the application.
7. Apply. Make sure you have a disclaimer stating that you're a faker, and also a link to the mod journal and aim name in your UI. Thank you!
